SPECIAL STEWARDSHIP AWARD PRESENTATION EVENT


Three CTC volunteers received Tennessee Department of Enviromental and Conservation awards on May 24, 2000. The Special Stewardship Presentation Event was held at Harrison Bay State Park.


  • Jim Lifsey(left), CTC trail volunteer, received the Governor's Award for Trail Development for his longterm and continuing work in trail design, construction, and maintenance on the CT.
  • Sara Murray(below) received the Governor's Award for Trail Development, for her work in organizing Notre Dame High School students and their work on the CT during Fall BreakAway 1999.
  • Linda Hixon(below), of CTC and North Chickamauga Creek Conservancy, received the Governor's Greenways/Conservation Award for her continuing dedication and efforts in greenways preservation.
  • The Lyndhurst Foundation also received the Governor's Greenways/Conservation Award for its support of the Cumberland Trail.
